  • Multiple feeds from the same connected source
  • A different selection for each website or page
  • A dedicated layout for desktop, tablet and mobile

Frequently asked questions

Which sources can I use with Whgoon?

Whgoon supports Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Bluesky and Mastodon. Create a separate feed for each source, then customise its design, content and embed code.

Are all sources available with every plan?

No. Each plan determines which sources you can use and how many accounts, channels and feeds you may connect. Every plan clearly states what is included.

How do I connect a social media source?

Connect Instagram with an Instagram token. For TikTok and Pinterest, securely grant permission through the relevant platform. For YouTube, Bluesky and Mastodon, simply enter the public channel or profile; no login or token is required.

Can I combine posts from different sources in one feed?

Not yet. Each feed uses one connected account or channel as its source. You can create multiple feeds and place them separately or next to each other on the same website.

Are the same design options available for every source?

The main layouts, colours, spacing, corner rounding and responsive settings work across all sources. Source-specific options are only shown when the platform and post type support that information.

Can Whgoon display likes, comments and other statistics?

This varies by platform and post type. Whgoon only displays figures made available by the connected source through its official API. Missing statistics are hidden automatically.

Can I create multiple feeds with the same account or channel?

Yes. Each feed can have its own item count, selection, layout and embed code, up to the limit of your plan.

Can my feed use a different layout on mobile?

Yes. You choose a separate layout for desktop, tablet and mobile. If you want the same appearance everywhere, one checkbox keeps all three settings in sync.

Does Whgoon work with every Instagram account?

Meta provides API access to professional Business and Creator accounts. A personal account must therefore be converted first.

How quickly do new posts appear on my website?

Whgoon checks your connected source automatically. How often this happens depends on the selected plan and its refresh interval.

Do I need to update my website for every new post?

No. You place the embed code once. New content is then updated automatically within the same feed.

Can I use Whgoon on multiple websites?

Yes, as long as the number of feeds and connected accounts fits within your plan. Advanced plans also let you specify the domains on which a feed may be used.

Do I need technical knowledge to add a feed?

Usually not. Whgoon provides JavaScript code and iframe code that you can paste into an HTML block on your website.

What happens if a source is temporarily unavailable?

Whgoon uses the most recently retrieved feed content. This means your existing feed does not immediately disappear when a connected platform has a temporary outage.

Does my website get access to connection tokens?

No. Access tokens remain encrypted within Whgoon. The host website only receives the compiled public feed.

Can I change plans later?

Yes. In MyFeeds you can request an upgrade, downgrade or cancellation and access your invoices.

How does the free month for a referral work?

The new customer enters the email address of an existing Whgoon customer during registration. Once the first payment is processed, we extend the end date of the referrer’s current subscription by one month.

Clear guidance for connecting your social accounts

Below you will find a clear guide for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Bluesky and Mastodon, helping you connect your social accounts as quickly and easily as possible. Whgoon never receives the login credentials for your accounts. Everything runs through the official API of the relevant social platform. All you need to do is set up the connection.

Use a computer, not a phone

Complete all steps in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge on a desktop or laptop. The invitation and authorisation button are often not visible in the Instagram app on a phone.

What you need

  • The login details for the Instagram account.
  • A public Instagram profile.
  • A professional Business or Creator account.
  • Access to Meta for Developers.

You create one token per Instagram account. You will not need to enter the username or account ID in Whgoon; they are detected automatically.

1

Open your app in Meta

  1. Open Meta for Developers – My Apps ↗.
  2. Log in with the Meta/Facebook account used to manage the app.
  3. Select the app you use for Instagram.

No app yet? Click Create App, give the app a recognisable name and add the Manage messaging and content on Instagram use case.

Done when: you can see your Meta app dashboard.

2

Open the correct Instagram settings

In Meta, select the following in order:

Use cases → Manage messaging and content on Instagram → Customize → API setup with Instagram login → Generate access tokens

Do not choose: Embed Facebook, Instagram and Threads content. This does not provide the token Whgoon needs.

Done when: you can see the Generate access tokens section.

3

Add the Instagram account

  1. Under Generate access tokens, click Add account.
  2. Enter the exact username of the Instagram account whose feed you want to display.
  3. If Meta asks for a role, select Instagram Tester.
  4. Confirm the addition.

No “Add account” button? Go to App roles → Roles → Assign a role. Select Instagram Tester and enter the Instagram username.

Done when: Meta states that the account will appear once the invitation has been accepted.

4

Accept the invitation on Instagram

Remain on your desktop or laptop for this step.

  1. Open a new browser tab.
  2. Log in to Instagram with the exact account you added in step 3.
  3. Open Instagram – Apps and Websites ↗.
  4. Click Tester Invites.
  5. In your Meta app, click Accept.

Please note: on a phone, this link often opens the Instagram app directly. The authorisation button is frequently missing there. Use a desktop browser instead.

Done when: the invitation is shown as accepted.

5

Generate and copy the token

  1. Return to the Meta for Developers tab and refresh the page.
  2. Open Generate access tokens again.
  3. Click Generate token next to the correct Instagram account.
  4. Log in to Instagram again if prompted and grant permission.
  5. Copy the entire long code shown by Meta.

6

Paste the token into Whgoon

  1. Log in to MyFeeds and open Instagram accounts.
  2. Paste the code into the Instagram User Access Token field.
  3. Click Connect Instagram account.

You do not need to enter anything else. Whgoon detects the Instagram name and account ID automatically.

The Instagram account must be both professional and public. Also check that Meta selected the correct account.
The invitation is not visible in the Instagram app
Open Instagram in a desktop browser and go directly to instagram.com/accounts/manage_access/ ↗.
“Form can't be saved”
First remove the account in Meta under App roles → Instagram testers. Refresh the page, add the account again and accept the new invitation.
The account does not appear under “Generate access tokens”
Check that the invitation was accepted on Instagram and that you are logged in with the correct Instagram account, then refresh the Meta page.
